Leti, innovation
for industry
Contact: Laurent Herault (laurent.herault@cea.fr)
Leti’s telecommunications projects leverage our competencies in micro- and nanotechnologies, component design, and system design to support innovation in the development of wireless communications. These projects help us to anticipate future needs in telecommunications.
We are focused on the lower layers and protocols of telecommunications systems and optimizing their use: antenna systems, RF front-ends, digital baseband, sophisticated signal-processing algorithms, medium-access control protocols and radio resource-management techniques.
Recent projects include a new radio technology for high-speed and short-range wireless data transfer with Nokia, sensor networks for Fujitsu and cellular equipment.
We also collaborate with, among others, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, EADS, Sagemcom, Thales, Orange, Telefónica, Vodafone, and British Telecom.
Specific telecommunications projects include:
Energy efficiency is a continuing focus of our work in all research. Moreover, we are strongly involved in security and defense programs related to the telecommunication technologies
Leti is a founding member of the GreenTouchTM Initiative, a consortium of industry, government labs, and academia working on technologies dedicated to making communications networks 1,000 times more energy efficient by 2020.
